BLUUM Let's Make Friends May 2013 Review

Bluum is a monthly subscription service for babies/toddlers to age 3.  They send lots of goodies based on the theme of your child's developmental stage. This month is "Let's Make Friends".  The cost is $24.95/month and so far has not disappointed.  They had a little difficulty getting the boxes out on time, but aside from a very lengthy trip from NY to CA, my April box is finally here.  Instead of each month being a certain theme for everyone, they assign you a theme based on age.  Last month was "Lil' Artiste".  This really seems to help their boxes cater more directly to the child.  Click HERE to sign up and If you use the link above you automatically get 15 points to put toward a future Bluum Box!

 Nice and full!

Melissa and Doug Shape Puzzle $8.05 on Amazon.  I love that this box had a puzzle in it because I'm trying to fill up my son's puzzle rack.  Definitely a great addition!

I Can Share pullout book. $7.19.  This is cute and my son loves books so its perfect! I've gotten most of his board books from subscription boxes.  They love to throw them in and we love to receive!

Princess Soft Toys by Melissa and Doug. $10.  This is a little iffy for my son's age (20 months) He gets a lot of stuffed animals and maybe its just him, but he's never really interested in them.  My 9 year old boy, however, loves it.  :-)

More of those darn rice cakes!  I swear if I see ONE MORE package of Happy Family rice cakes in my sub boxes, I'm cancelling them all!  :-)  Kidding, but seriously my LO hates them and we've gotten them in every baby sub box for the past four months.  So over them.  $2.99 and the foaming anti-alcohol hand sanitizer is a good touch.

Overall, this box doesn't seem to be a good value to me.  It comes in at around $30.  Since I wouldn't have purchased anything from here aside from the puzzle, its really not valuable to me.  But, value is subjective, I hope you enjoyed your Bluum box this month!

CITRUS LANE May 2013 review

Citrus Lane is a baby-toddler subscription service that sends out 4-6 baby friendly items each month.  The boxes start at $25/month with shipping included.  Click here to sign up and receive $10 off your first order!  The items are curated based on your child's age.  They anticipate what will be coming up next to make sure that you have what you need!  They used to do Theme's, but starting this month, they are not doing them anymore. This box is based on my son's age, 18 months. Use the link on this page for $10 off to use on a future box and enter code FIRSTBOX to receive half off your first box!

I don't have a picture of everything together because my son totally tore into this submarine!  We love Green Toys! $14.99

Step Steep Lavendar stick $4.95.  This is a moisturizing stick that can be used by mom's on lips, hands, and any other dry spot.  I love how versatile it is.  Unfortunately for Citrus Lane, I just got one in my Stork Stack box so it was a double for me and it didn't have the novelty factor.

Happy Family Rice cakes. $2.99.  I'm so tired of getting these rice cakes!  I've gotten them in so many other boxes and my son hates them so they just go in the trash.  I've seriously gotten these probably 6 times.

The Journey Home from Grandpa's house, By Barefoot Books, $10.  Books with audio are fun, but I don't have a CD player in my house, except for on my computer so its a little bit of a hassle.  They should offer an mp3 download. :-)

Overall, I wasn't that pleased with this month's box.  Maybe its because I felt like there wasn't any substance to it.  Yeah, my son liked the submarine, but the other three items were pretty blah.  I feel that one more item would've made it seem worthwhile.  But, you win some you lose some in the world of sub boxes!

POPSUGAR MUST HAVE May 2013 Review

POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly subscription service that sends out at least $100 in items for $35/month with shipping included.  The idea is to send a must have for fashion, fitness, home, beauty and food.  Although not all of these categories are included every month.  This is my fifth box with them and I absolutely love them. Click HERE to join! Enter code SAVE5PSMH to save $5!

The box looks full this month!  Although I did check out the spoilers, it was still nice to see all the products up close!

The Modern Cocktail Margarita mixers. $9.99.  I haven't tried these yet, but I'm excited!  They have great reviews and look yummy.

Pacifica Color Quench. $9.00.  I love this item!  I use it daily and the sugared fig is such a perfect neutral color.

Mindy Kaling Question cards.  $14.95.  This is something I may or may not read.  I'm not a huge Mindy fan, but I'll probably get bored one day and open it up.  This is a meh item for me.

Kooringal hat.  $27.99.  I love this hat!  I will be wearing it a ton this summer!

Beauty Blender and Cleanser set. $23.95.  This is something I will probably use, but I don't wear foundation a lot.  I like that it came with the cleanser and it is definitely a popular product.  I look forward to trying it!

Way Better Snacks, Sweeet Potato Tortilla Chips.  $.99.  These were so good!  They were gone within the day and I love anything made from sweet potatoes!

There was also a Charm and Chain $30 gift card, but since everything on that site is more than $30, I don't really count that toward the amount.  If I have to spend money to get something that I wouldn't normally buy myself, then its not worth it to me.  Also, there was a little popsugar tote bag that you can see in the first picture. I valued that at $5.

Overall, another great box from popsugar!  They were offering 50% off on this box for current subscribers so many got it for a very good deal.  I wish I would've taken advantage of that offer!  Total value was a whopping $121.88 with the charm and chain $30.  Wow!

STORK STACK May 2013 review

Stork Stack is a monthly subscription box that is geared toward babies/toddlers from mom's third trimester to babies 3rd birthday.  They curate the boxes based on the age of the child so that the items are always applicable to their development.  There are monthly themes that are followed and this month is "Anniversary" in celebration of their one year anniversary this month. It includes some of their favorite brands from the past year.

I have been receiving the Stork Stack monthly Subscription box for 9 months now and I have never been disappointed.  I have used/gifted everything and I am constantly amazed at the value that is loaded in these boxes.  I have subscribed to Citrus Lane, Petite Box (out of business), and Stork Stack and the Stack is always my favorite.  The box costs $28/month and that includes shipping. Enter code 6251F18B to receive $10 off your subscription.  One of the unique things I love about Stork Stack is that they give back to those in need by donating stacks.

I always love seeing their signature tissue paper!

Stephen Joseph Baby Bank.  $4.99.  This is super cute.  Its really small for a piggy bank, but it goes well with my LO's room.

Deep Steep Moisture Stick. $5.95.  I love the way this smells and its so versatile.  It can be used for mom's hands, dry spots and lips.

Rubbabu Mascot Car.  $11.95.  My LO absolutely loves this car.  So does my husband because the wheels are soft and it won't scratch our coffee table and walls.  :-)

Child's Play International Book.  $4.99.  This book is cute and my son loves books so they're always fun to get in our boxes!

North American Bear Co Two-Dees kitty. $16. I really wish we would've gotten something other than a cat. We aren't cat people ;).  But, its really cute and soft so I guess that's all that really matters!

Total this month was $43.88. Not bad!  But the actual value varies based on what you'll use from the monthly boxes.  And since I'll use it all and was very pleased, I'd say it was worth it!

POPSUGAR MUST HAVE Summer Fun box 2013

The Popsugar Must Have Summer Fun Special Edition is here!  I ordered this a couple months ago and waited patiently.  I will say that I didn't remain spoiler free for this box, so I already knew what would be in it :).  The cost was $100 and it was well worth it!  Popsugar Must Have monthly box is $35 and you can use code GET50 right now for half off.

I love it when my boxes are full!  This was delivered in a plain brown box with a nice sleek looking inner black box.  Everything inside was wrapped in black tissue paper.

I was looking forward to this!  I love the S'well bottles and have heard such great things.  Its supposed to keep ice cold for 24 hours and drinks hot for 12.  I'll be testing that this summer for sure.  This is a 17 oz. bottle for $35.  They also make larger ones that will accommodate an entire bottle of wine.

Henri Bendel Jasmine scented candle.  $30.  I was really hoping for a different scent.  Others like the Jasmine, but its too floral and gives me a headache.  I was hoping for anything, but this one!  Oh well, I regifted it to my son's teacher for teacher appreciation week.  :)

Starbucks Via Refreshers. $7.99.  I tried these yesterday and really didn't like it.  It had a weird aftertaste. I might try using less of the packet and see if that helps.  This would be nice to go in my s'well bottle!

Vitabath citrus scrub.  $17.99.  This is a great scrub and it smells so nice!

Sachin and Babi Sarong.  I'm estimating a $50 value.  I can't find this online so it might be a Popsugar Special item.  This is a nice soft material and will be perfect for a summer cover up!

House of Harlow 1960 Sunglasses.  $120. This style is Tilda and its from last year, but I don't care.  They're very cute and I will definitely wear them!

One Truffle Classic Clarity.  $38.  This is such a fun bag.  I know it looks a lot like a pencil case, but its perfect for tossing your valuables into your beach bag to keep the water and sand from getting to them, or helping you keep organized.  I love this and will use it!

The total for this box is $300.98.  This box did not disappoint and it will make it so much harder for me to say no to future special edition boxes.  I know people had issues with the winter luxury special edition box, but this one really made up for it.

PAWALLA MINI Box April 2013 Review

Pawalla is a monthly subscription service for Dogs/Cats.  We ordered the mini box that is $20/month and never includes wet food.  We don't give wet food so we prefer this box!  The regular box is $30/month and always includes some type of dog food.  Plus, our little guy is very sensitive so I don't want a ton of food that we can't use.  Click HERE to pamper your pet!

This month I received a full bag of PB and Berry dog treats, Puppy wipes, Dog Mouth wash, and a tooth saver Chew toy.  Since my dog is only 9 pounds, I wasn't sure that he'd be able to get the ball in his mouth, but he was determined!  He loved the treats and the ball, but we haven't used the wipes and mouth wash.  I was excited about the wipes because we always have to wipe his feet and they can be used for this!  I can't wait to see what next month brings! I also want to give a shout out to their customer service.  I somehow canceled my subscription so I thought I was going to miss this month (even though it was prepaid), but they took care of everything and I had my box just a few short days later!  They responded quickly and were eager to help.

GOODIES BOX April 2013 review

The box this month was packed full!  I love it when I get a full box!  Goodies is a monthly food sample subscription box that is actually owned by Walmart.  It is 7/month and that includes shipping.  Its such a cheap box that I couldn't pass it up!  You have to be waitlisted first and wait for an invite code, but its well worth it. My only complaint is that I need more chocolate ;) Click HERE to sign up!

Green Giant Sweet Potato Chips. I know this is a very well known brand, but I loved these!  They tasted kind of like the popchips in the sweet potato flavor, but were much lighter and crispier.

Celsius Calorie Reducing Energy Drink. I have yet to try this drink because I'm nursing and not sure what it would do to my son! He doesn't need anymore energy!  I'll give this to my husband when he gets home.

True Bar. I ate this one almost immediately.  It was surprisingly good without all the added ingredients that others put in their products.  Delish!

Zone Perfect bar.  I'm really not a fan of cookie dough so I'll probably give this to my 9 year old since he loves to feel grown up by eating bars.

Olomomo almonds.  These had my name on them as soon as I saw them in the box.  They were crunchy and delicious!  I loved the nice understated flavors.

Angie's Sweet and Salty.  I haven't eaten this yet, but its popcorn so you can't really screw that up!
